BIG-BROTHER

The first six members of the Big Brother 28 jury have spoken about their time in the jury house in an exclusive interview ahead of Thursday’s live finale.

LaTrice Verrett, Angela Murray, Barrett Pfeiffer, Yash Patel, Melody Morris, and Dee Valladares each answered questions about the best and worst parts of their sequester experience.

The interview was conducted by Entertainment Weekly before Dee joined the jury house following her eviction at the Final 4.

Freedom and Isolation in the Jury House

Several jurors said the privacy and freedom of the jury house were welcome changes after weeks inside the Big Brother house.

Verrett said the best part was no longer sharing sleeping and bathroom spaces with other houseguests.

‘I can be in a room by myself, and also, I can use the bathroom by myself,’ Verrett said. ‘I don’t have to worry about somebody outside the door listening to me in the bathroom.’

Murray said spending time with Verrett was her favorite part of the experience.

‘She’s my bestie,’ Murray said. ‘She and I have so much fun just laughing, watching movies, hanging poolside.’

Patel cited the pool, the theater room, and access to music as highlights.

‘The freedom is so valuable to your boy,’ Patel said. ‘So it’s hard to pick one.’

Morris said the natural lighting and the ability to go outside at any moment were important to her.

Pfeiffer said the jury house allowed for relaxed conversations without the paranoia that defined the main game.

‘I feel like finally I’m getting to have conversations with people, not with the paranoia attached to it,’ Pfeiffer said.

Difficulties Among Jurors

The jurors also acknowledged tensions within the jury house.

Murray said having to remain cordial with people she had conflicts with was the hardest part.

‘When you have a little beef with somebody and you have to be cordial and you have to get along, which is kind of hard, and a lot of it is my fault, but what am I gonna do?’ Murray said. ‘I made my bed. I gotta lay in it.’

Pfeiffer said watching the remaining houseguests compete without him was frustrating.

‘I should be the one still fighting my way to win this money,’ Pfeiffer said. ‘And the fact that I’m not is really annoying.’

Verrett said the worst aspect for her was simply no longer being in the game.

‘I’m out,’ Verrett said. ‘So I think that’s probably the worst thing about being here.’

Jury Dynamics and Final Three

The jury house has seen its share of conflict. A recent episode showed a heated exchange between Murray and Morris after Morris joined the jury.

Murray criticized Morris’s game, and Morris pushed back. The argument ended with Murray calling Morris a coaster and telling her to shut up.

Murray later said the friction in the jury house was largely her responsibility.

Despite the tensions, the jurors will collectively decide the winner of the $750,000 grand prize.

The Final 3 houseguests are Drew Campbell, Taylor Brown, and Rick Devens.

Drew Campbell is a 22-year-old who played a fluid middle game, winning one Head of Household, three Power of Veto competitions, and two Blockbusters.

Rick Devens is a 42-year-old Survivor alum who won the Diamond Power of Veto and survived multiple eviction attempts.

Taylor Brown is a teacher who won Part 1 of the final Head of Household competition and has studied season events extensively ahead of Part 3.

During a jury house segment, Patel praised Campbell’s resume.

‘If Drew makes it to the final two chairs, he might get my vote,’ Patel said.

Finale Details

The Big Brother 28 finale airs Thursday, October 1 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and streams live on Paramount+.
